Feature Blog On Etsy Seller: Birdwatching

1)How did you first hear about Etsy?: I think I saw it in a craft magazine, actually. I put it on my favorites list and came back to it a few months later after I found out my aunt had a shop on here.

2)Tell us about a little about yourself and your favorite craft/art!: Well, I have a B.F.A. in art, which has pretty much only been used to make things for etsy. haha. I taught art for 3 years so I guess it got used for that too. I LOVE sewing, but lately I have been drawing a tiny bit more.

3)How did you get started as a designer?: I have always liked making things, and I figured selling them was the best way to keep them from piling up around the house!

3)What inspires you to create?: Sometimes just having a good day makes me feel like making something. Or reading a craft/decorating magazine can do the trick.

4)How do you get the word out about your shop and Etsy? Word of mouth at work and to my friends...I have a myspace, blog, a decal from CeeJay77 on my car, I do business card swaps...whatever I can that is low-budget, at this point!

5)Any advice you would give to aspiring designers?: Get to know other etsians!
Network and trade business cards!

6) Where can people find your work? BirdWatching.etsy.com and very soon I will have a store front on Lollishops.com!
