Remoldeling

Hi Everyone It has been a long time since I updated the blog . A lot has happen the past few months. A lot of remodeling , soul searching and support by the people that matter most to me . Expressions by Devin has went completely digital printable DIY on all my items and I have added new items too . Still working on making all my previous themes digital . It may take some time doing so but I will get there. I am also working on re adding handmade greeting cards to my shop. Doing digital items has helped out my family so much since I switched. I have more time to send with my little family and more time creating cards and other items that can be ready to ship out with no wait time. This blog will also be remodel here soon. This blog will have updates on my shop still but will also have more post on Pinterest post that I have tired that have or haven't worked, kids craft and learning tools that I have found that my little guy likes. Expressions By Devin has a new start so I thought the blog should also. Keep a look out for a new look and new post on everything. Lots of fun recipes ( with pictures ) and tons of other fun things you wont want to miss.

Baby its cold outside

Hi Everyone, I hope you are staying warm and toasty. I usually don't hate winter but this winter I am really over it. I hate being stuck at home but it has been great to come up with new ideas. I have been helping my mom get her shop up back in running. She has been closed for a few months. She makes adorable quilted cosmetic cases. Perfect for wedding gifts for your bridesmaids. Pinterest Party Planning - Owl Theme

I have come up with a few ideas from Pinterest to make the perfect Owl theme Birthday party.
The cake is super important for any birthday party. My sister and I saw these adorable owl cupcakes on pinterest . We re-created them for my Baby shower.

                                                    
                                                They where so easy to make!
1.)Make your cupcakes from box or from scratch.
2.)Make your icing or use store bought white icing .
3.) Add food coloring to your icing to make what ever color you want the owl face to be ( We did light blue since I was having a little boy).
4.) Ice your cupcakes
5.) Take Oreo Cookies and cut the Oreos in  half ( Tip: Use a warm knife to cut thru the white cream for a clean cut)
6.) Place Oreos on your cupcake any way you want to create the eyes.
5.) Add a drop of icing on the oreos to put  brown M & M eyes or any color eyes you want
6.) Add a orange M& M side ways between the Oreo eyes for a beak.
              My sister and I had so much fun making these and they were a hit at my forest themed baby shower.

Trying to entertain a large amount of kids can be a little crazy at times. This would be so cute and fun for the kids to do in between party activities:

New Year New Resolution

Hi Everyone Happy New Year!!! My New years Resolution is to blog more. I have made some changes to the blog and will hopefully keep this blog going. Hopefully I still have a few people reading . I know it's been a while

I know it's been a very long time. Being a work at home mom is taking away from my blogging. Expressions By Devin keeps me on my toes Plus all the amazing mommy things I get to do when I am not working. I have probably lost a lot of my readers by now which makes me sad because I love to blog and read your comments. Hopefully I can get back on track again. I have been trying out so many Pinterest pins that I need to blog about plus I have found some adorable party ideas to go with your Expressions by Devin themed parties. Pinterest tip of the day.... This actually works. I was over my friends house for a play date when my best friend found that one of her girls had drawn on the wall with crayon... Yikes!!! So I went to pinterest and looked through all the pins. This took off bright blue crayon and did nothing to the wall and its so easy!!!! Instructions: Sprinkle some Arm & Hammer baking soda on a damp sponge and rub the area I know what you are thinking... This lady is crazy and that sounds way to easy...This will never work. It totally works and saw it with my own to eyes!!

New feature coming to my shop!

Hi Everyone, I have decided to take the plunge and add direct checkout to my etsy shop. I decided to try it and see how I like it. Hopefully all goes smoothly with it. Etsy still has to approve me for it . I applied Saturday so I am hoping this will go active tomorrow some time. I will keep you posted. New Item coming to Expressions by Devin

Oh My Goodness I have really slipped away from blogging. So much has been going on at home and Expressions by Devin.Boy has the year gone by quick. I have so much blogging to catch up on. New items, Customer photos and so much more. My new years resolution is to get this blog back to life.

2000th Sale

Hi Everyone, I am super excited to announce that today I made my 2000th sale on my shop. I never imaged that my shop we be this big. When I started this business it was a side hobby that lead me to being full time. I want to thank my amazing husband  for always being supportive and letting me follow my dreams. This business would never had happen with out you believing in me. Thank you to all my Family and Friends for all the love and support And of course a Huge THANK YOU to all my customers!!! This would not have been possible with out you.

Pinterest Project # 2 ( Dawn and Vinegar shower cleaner)

Hi Everyone, I have been trying out tons of things I have pinned on Pinterest. During my free time  I have been going through my Pinterest and trying some of the things out. This post is on the Famous Dawn and Vinegar Shower Cleaner. In my house I have a old cast iron tube. It is a pain to clean. I have tried every store bought cleaner I could think of. My shower and tube took a lot of elbow grease and magic erasers to clean on a weekly bases Until I pinned this.

 Dawn and Vinegar Shower Cleaner
1 cup of White Vinegar
1 Cup of the original Blue Dawn dish soap

1 Heat vinegar in for 2 minutes in microwave and pour into squirt bottle.

 2 Add the Dawn soap. Put the lid on and gently shake to incorporate.

3 You now have a powerful cleaning product that will melt soap scum and tub and shower buildup, clean sinks, appliances and just about anything. Just spray it on, scrub, rinse and be amazed. For tough soap scum build-up, spray the mixture on and allow it to sit for 2 hours . Then, scrub and rinse.

 This cleaner is the best cleaner ever... I will never buy store bought cleaner ever again. I tired getting a off brand of blue dish soap and tried it. It didn't work it.  Didn't clean as well and it was real runny. Always stick with the Blue Dawn dish soap. You will get fantastic results!!!

Halloween is around the corner

Hi Everyone, Fall and Halloween is just around the corner. I have had alot of Orders being placed for Halloween Decorations. Place your order soon before its to late... Don't forget about school Halloween parties. My Halloween themed cupcake toppers are perfect to dress up store bought cupcakes!!!

Hi Everyone, I received this adorable Customer photo the other day. Isn't this just darling. I will be adding this LiL Lady Banner to my shop.

P.s. I have tried about 3 things on pinterest in the last couple of weeks. I will be writing a review on them. So far I have tried the corn dog muffins, Cell phone holder made out of a baby lotion bottle and Cream Cheese enchilada. Be watching Out for those Reviews. 

Bee Theme Toppers for a Baby shower

Hi Everyone, I just finished up making this adorable Bee theme Cupcake toppers for a custom order for a repeat customer.

Pinterest Project # 1

Hi Everyone, As you know I am crazy about Pinterest. I am on daily pinning tons of awesome things to make etc... When I was pregnant with my son. I came across a awesome pin. I have seen them pinned several times. The pin is IKEA Spice racks that you paint and turn them in to book shelves. I needed book shelves in my sons room to complete his Nursery. As soon as I saw this pin I was planning a trip to IKEA. We don't have one close so we drove 2 hours to get to one. At the time I was 6 Months pregnant. Of course I bought more then just spice racks so it was totally worth it. The spice racks where $1.99 each. I bought 3 and bought a sample size paint at my local hardware store. Here is the Finished Product!!

This project was super easy to do. I was 6 months pregnant at the time when I did this project. I hope you enjoy this post. I am hoping to make more projects or recipes from pinterest and post my review here.

Wow its been a while!!!

Hi everyone,
It has been a while since I wrote. Sorry for that. Life has been a little crazy. My little one is almost 4 months old now. Trying to balance being Work from home mom and Stay at home mom and Wife is not easy. Not a lot of time for blogging.

Expressions By Devin has been very busy. Which I love!!!
Thanks for everyone that is supporting my little business and letting me stay home with my little one.

I am posting a New theme in shop today. Funky Monkey Boy Theme.
